ABOUT PET CROW
Derby based Pet Crow formed three years ago, and in that relatively short space of time they've caused a stir.
Having drawn comparisons to a wide range of artists such as The Julie Ruin, MC5 and Sonic Youth, their sound is an energetic & groove-laden mix of garage-punk/rock with nods to post-punk, pop, and surf-rock.
Pet Crow have featured in publications such as Louder Than War, Upset Mag, New Noise, The Revue and The National Student.
They've been featured on such shows as Radio X (formerly XFM), BBC 6 Music (Marc Riley) and Amazing Radio. They have shared stages with the likes of The Lovely Eggs, Flat Worms, Liines & Menace Beach.
Their first full length album "A Simple Guide to Small and Medium Pond Life" was released on 12" through independent label Reckless Yes in Feb 2017 and their first 7" single 'How Are You Wired?' & ‘Scrape Yourself from the Floor’ was released through Too Pure Singles Club in August 2017.
'Scrape Yourself from the Floor' was played on BBC Radio 6 by Marc Riley. It reached number 58 in the official charts (physical sales) in September 2017, and was featured on Vinyl Factory's records of the week list.
LP: 'A Simple Guide to Small & Medium Pondlife' was included in Loud Women's best albums of 2017.
Pet Crow have written a second album, which will be self-released in Feb 2020 - Keep those eyes & ears peeled!
